Dear all,
I’m very excited to share with you the news that the Peter Landin material held by the Bodleian Library, in Oxford, is now catalogued and available for research!
Peter Landin (1930–2009) was a computer science researcher in the 1960s and lecturer from the 70s on, when he largely retired from research. Landin’s influence on CS remains heavily felt in the semantics and functional programming communities. He also became a significant campaigner for various social rights, particularly gay rights—he was himself gay—but also anti-war and environmental concerns.
You can read more about Landin, the collection, and find a link to the catalogue, on the Bodleian Blog<http://blogs.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/archivesandmanuscripts/2022/09/15/new-catalo…>. I can’t wait to look at this material myself.
Best,
Dr. Troy Kaighin Astarte (they/them / nhw)
