I wanted to inform you of an event on Fri, Dec. 8, 10am-Noon and 1-4pm PST (18:00-20:00 & 21:00-00:00 UTC) during which former and current Lucasfilm and Pixar employees will describe *The Development of RenderMan® for Photorealistic Graphics, 1981-1988*. Included will be the dedication of an IEEE Milestone <https://ieeemilestones.ethw.org/Milestone-Proposal:The_Development_of_RenderMan%C2%AE_for_Photorealistic_Graphics> bearing that title. The event will include a rich history of the progression of computer graphics (CG) technology.
