Through the Wikipedia assignment, my students develop their research, writing, and digital media literacy skills, and they get a real-world, hands-on experience that makes an impact on knowledge equity. Many faculty also find that students are often incredibly motivated when they realize their work on Wikipedia could be viewed thousands or even millions of times.
