Great to hear about this project, Justin. I'd be interested to know what "early" means, here?

David: I have been working for some years generating oral histories to research the histories of digital games, first in New Zealand, then in Australia, during a long 1980s decade, ie. l70s-e90s. I am now expanding this to cover what I term "creative micro-computing" in Australia, from 1976-92.

Some of the work has been done in conjunction with institutions, such as the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, and so they hold copies of the interviews our team has undertaken.

We're at the early stages of undertaking a focused oral history of aspects of early computing in Australia. It's funded (so it is going to happen!), and will add to existing oral histories already held in the National Library of Australia.
