Dear All, I had a notion for a panel at the upcoming SHOT meeting -- “The Architecture of Text: Form and Function” — at which I would present some early work either on an important data structure that went into most of the early WYSIWYG word processors or on the late 1950 work by Jack Gilmore at MIT on the “Lincoln Writer,” a editor for technical documents combining graphical input by light pen and by keyboard.
