Obituaries in the History of Computing
SIGICSers, I've posted a blog entry about some of the men and women of significance to the history of computing who have died in the last year:http://www.sigcis.org/node/318 <https://exchange1.ecfs.org/owa/redir.aspx?C=1d28094030c14dddae21e80534de9a97&URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.sigcis.org%2fnode%2f318> Let me know who I've missed! Chris McDonald
This month we lost Dan Sinnott, who was one of the founders of Interdata. Interdata (later Perkin Elmer) was mostly for employees of analog computer giant Electronic Associates. It was also (I think) the first company other than DEC to make a 16-bit minicomputer. EAI and Interdata were across the street from each other here in Monmouth County, N.J. -----Original Message----- From: Chris McDonald <cmcdonal@princeton.edu> Sender: members-bounces@sigcis.org Date: Wed, 21 Dec 2011 18:17:27 To: <members@sigcis.org> Subject: [SIGCIS-Members] Obituaries in the History of Computing _______________________________________________ This email is relayed from members@sigcis.org, the email discussion list of SHOT SIGCIS.
