Hi Professor Thomas, Thanks for sharing, I look forward to participating on it. There's an issue regarding time zones in your message. In the first paragraph you said all times are Central US, but the agenda that comes below says all times Eastern US. I got a couple of replies to this noting contradictory information on timing. To clarify: times for the event are EASTERN US (as stated in bold), not central as I confusingly wrote in the first sentence. Apologies for sending email when too tired. Sorry to be out of touch, but is there a SIGCIS meeting as part of the online SHOT conference? I see it on the program, Sunday 9-12, but don’t see anything on the new SIGCIS website (which is terrific, thanks for updating!). Is this a mistake in the program or a real thing? (I’m picturing a virtual auction of ebooks…) thanks, Janet Dr. Janet Abbate Professor, Science, Technology and Society Virginia Tech liberalarts.vt.edu/sts Co-director, VT National Capital Region STS program Author, Inventing the Internet and Recoding Gender

Hi everyone, Yes, we'll be having a casual SIGCIS get together on Sunday! Boston 9:00-12:00pm · London 12:00-15:00pm · Tokyo 10:00pm-01:00am We're envisioning this as similar to the usual SIGCIS lunch, except without an auction or food. But it will still have casual conversation and getting to know our community a bit better. The format will depend on how many attend and what tools the software has. I doubt we'll use all 3 hours, so please try to come at the beginning. Hope to see many of you there!
