another book by Knuth which is not another volume of TAOCP
See my review at <http://www.tug.org/books/reviews/tb103reviews-knuth9-walden.html>http://www.tug.org/books/reviews/tb103reviews-knuth9-walden.html It will be published in the upcoming issue of the TeX User Group's journal. As the review says, I think this will be a useful volume for computing historians whose research brings them toward Knuth's life and publications.
Wired has picked up on the film of the AT&T mainframe facility at Holmdel, which we discussed a couple of months ago. They mention the pin-up, but also the work on UNIX & C that was going on using DEC minicomputers at the same time: http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/03/bell_labs_1973_unix_time_warp/. Paul E.
