Job summary: The School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS), Department of Science and Technology Studies, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY invites applications for a one year appointment as Lecturer in the History of Computing. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in a related field and have research and teaching interests in science, technology, and society; information technology and society; and history. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses such as IT and Society; History of Technology; and American History. The teaching load is three four-credit courses per semester. The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. or foreign degree equivalent in science and technology studies, history, or a related field that prepares them to teach the aforementioned courses.
