More specifically, in 1985, the Smithsonian Institution Press published a monograph by Emilie Savage-Smith
entitled <i>Islamicate Celestial Globes: Their History, Construction, and Use</i>. The publication was distributed free of charge to appropriate libraries and scholars. It has been digitized, and is now available at
