<p class="gmail-p1" style="margin:0px;font-variant-numeric:normal;font-variant-east-asian:normal;font-stretch:normal;font-size:12px;line-height:normal;font-family:"Helvetica Neue"">We plan to discuss the potential of a collectively written white paper and website on carbon trading, with the aim of publication for Earth Day, 2023. Given that the SIGCIS community leads in research on the environmental and social realities of computing and information, we feel that a community statement would be a powerful intervention. It is furthermore an opportunity to reflect on the decades of climate research generated by members of this community as well as exciting new work in progress.</p>
