<i>The Essential Writings of Vannevar Bush</i> (Columbia University Press, 2022). It is

writing in historical context. The writings cover an enormous field, including many essays with will appeal to SIGCIS members. His 1945 memex essay, "As We May Think," is included as are his writings in the 50s and 60s that elaborate his ideas about the future
of desktop information appliances that quickly search, retrieve and "amplify" the "trail of associations" in the human record, increasing its value for civilization. </span></p>
