I'm forwarding this since there are many members of SIGCIS who live in the metro DC area. In case you're wondering, Buddy Rizer has been called "The Godfather of the Cloud." I tell people that he is to the Cloud as VInt Cerf is to the Internet. A bit hyperbolic, but the Cloud didn't "just happen." And it was not inevitable that its epicenter would be in a small town (Ashburn)  in northern Virginia.
