Hi:
English Heritage is a charity that manages over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places. These include prehistoric sites, medieval castles, Roman forts and country houses.
London’s blue plaques scheme, run by English Heritage, celebrates the links between notable figures of the past and the buildings in which they lived and worked. Founded in 1866, it has inspired many similar schemes in the UK and around the world.
Last Wednesday, I attended a delightful ceremony at which a plaque was placed on the wall of the former Post Office Dollis Hill Research Station commemorating Tommy Flowers, the designer of the Colossus – see

Cheers
