Hello SIGCIS friends,

Today we released 21 original and never before seen recordings of the First International Research Conference in the History of Computing held at Los Alamos, NM in August 1976.

I have a short blog about the event: https://computerhistory.org/blog/computings-woodstock/

And you can access the playlist directly here: https://computerhistory.org/playlists/international-research-conference-on-the-history-of-computing/

Enjoy!

Dag
PS Many of these lectures were also summarized in Nick Metropolis’ book on the conference: A History of Computing in the Twentieth Century (N. Metropolis, J. Howlett and G. C. Rota, Eds.), Academic Press, New York, 1980. However, several of the CHM lectures are not included in this book.
