Dear SIGCIS Listserv,

If anyone here is interested in critical code studies, especially
anti-racist critiques of source code, decolonizing code, creative coding,
and fiber arts, you might be interested in this year's (7th biennial)
Critical Code Studies Working Group. The event will take place over four
weeks by discussion board, from January 15 to February 14, 2022.
Participants can comment on threads started by invited experts in the
field, start their own threads related to each week's theme, and/or lurk.
You can get a sense for the kinds of conversations that take place by
browsing through the 2020 event: http://wg20.criticalcodestudies.com/

The Call for Participation is below, where you will find the form to join.

at the University of Southern California. http://haccslab.com (@haccs) and
Digital Arts & Humanities Commons at UC Santa Barbara. http://dahc.ucsb.edu/

Coordinated by Sarah Ciston (USC), Zachary Mann (USC), Jeremy Douglass
(UCSB), and Mark C. Marino (USC).

You can direct any questions my way at zmann at usc.edu.
