Hi – I don't know any specifics about this hiring, but saw it on another
list and thought it was worth a crosspost.

The Computer Science department at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova
Scotia is advertising for a person to teach two survey courses "in the
undergraduate Computer Science program on social, historical and
philosophical perspectives on computers". This likely will include
general history (and philosophy) of science depending on who is hired.
It will also include teaching in either the Philosophy or History
departments depending on the candidate. See the notice and the link to a
longer form of the ad in pdf format here:

If anyone with an HPS background is interested in applying for this
position, I'd be happy to talk to them if they contact me privately. I
can provide background on the position. The HOST programme at King's
College is on the same campus as Dalhousie and we are connected in
various academic and administrative ways. Do note that the deadline for
job applications is 22 May 2018.
