This is fascinating: The current issue of Aviation Week & Space Technology describes a project of the Israeli Air Force, which, not satified with US software, has written its own suite of “apps” for the F35.  While much military hardware has long been termed ‘platforms,’ this is a new — platform studies — conception of the word.
