A book I co-edited, entitled A Culture of Innovation, has been published.  See

The second paragraph at the above URL explains what the book is and isn't with regard to being a computing history.  The provenance section at the end of that web page explains that the book evolved from 12 articles originally published in the IEEE Annals of the History of Computing (and we are grateful to the IEEE Computer Society for permission to reuse that content).
